1) This is awesome! They look like they belong in the movie Dark Crystal.
2) I think you should draw them and see what happens.
3) They have a very European (North Eastern) animation to them. I like the fact that it looks like they could kick your ass while others are very meek and mild.
4) You have a very humanoid feel to them but also an animalistic quality.
5) Think about why some have capes and canes while others don't.
6) You package them with such care and love you should make them out of metal and bury them somewhere. How cool would that be for someone to find them 500 years from now?
And before he left he was very keen on me drawing them ^_^

2) Give them eyes, bring them to life.
3) Things to think about:
a) Dream imagery
b) Give them a title/story
c) Make a world for them
d) who is the nice one/mean one. Who is a boy and who is a girl?

1) it reminds me of the cartoon Gargoyle, have you seen it?
2) They're so detailed, I love this little skull girl the best. She's sweet yet has a side to her that says don't mess with me.
3) The alien one looks like she belongs in Pans Labyrinth.
4) Painting them might make them look more toy-like and take away a quality about them.
5) Have you thought about giving them a narrative? Control what the viewers will see, what you want them to see or how you want them to feel. Its completely up to you
