Artist Statement

Art work that I create tend to be based off of my mood. I am a hands on creature and love to sculpt things and overall make a giant mess. The sculptures that I tend to make are animated in character and carry a persona about them that makes them unique.

My artwork may not carry any political reasoning or any meaning at all but it is a part of me that wants to be expressed and rather than ruin the experience with nonsensical banter I allow it to stand for itself, at least I try to anyway ^_^.

I like to create art just to create it. I create it to music, emotions and thoughts that may be flying around my head and for the days that nothing is floating up in my mind I look for inspiration in clouds, tree's, and overall surroundings hoping to find that little spark that could turn into something.

Art is meant to be fun, when we lose that sense of ourselves then art falls into that same old ritual and eventually loses the attraction that we once felt from it. Like Cai Guo-Qiang said in his interview with Art21:

"the artist, like an alchemist, has the ability to transform certain energies,

using poison against poison, using dirt and getting gold.”
